Hoosier Energy is a generation and transmission cooperative (G&T) that provides electric power and services to 18 electric distribution cooperatives throughout Central and Southern Indiana and Illinois. Through Hoosier Energy's Economic Development's 2008 efforts, an estimated 1,050 new jobs and $300 million in capital investment was created in member territories and an estimated 25 megawatts of additional load was added.
